On Saturday, November 12th more than 60 riders and their horses enjoyed the second annual trail ride within the boundaries of the St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto, Illinois. The event also included educational sessions, shopping, food and great networking.

Metro-East horsemen and business community, under the leadership of Denise Maxwell put on a model event that raised more than $2000 to benefit the Illinois Equine Foundation. The funds will be split evenly between Trails Advocacy work and the Illinois Equine Crisis Response Fund.  

On behalf of Illinois Equine Foundation, Horsemen's Council of Illinois and those who will benefit from these new funds, thank you to each rider, vendor, sponsor, volunteer and participant!

A group of enthusiastic and dedicated individuals joined together to showcase the regional horse community. Volunteers came from stables, saddle clubs, youth groups and businesses.

Denise Maxwell led the group that included: Angie Garrett, Chris Sherer, Mariah Nelson, Jacob Mellenthin, Katelyn Powers, Allorea Greshan, Deena Vecchiollo, Taylor Adams, Caitlynn Rosenberg, Torie Greer.
